More than 100 years ago Nebraska adopted the Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Act.
When it was adopted, the intention was to quickly compensate injured workers and return them to the job and to a normal life. Over the past 100+ years, insurance companies made the process slower and more difficult while reducing the benefits they pay.
They hire adjusters, nurse case managers, doctors, and lawyers all with the goal of paying you less than you deserve. They pay millions of dollars a year to avoid paying injured workers tens of millions of dollars. Are you the injured worker they hope to underpay?
On a typical day, hiring a personal injury lawyer is the furthest thing from a person’s mind. If we lived in a perfect world, no one would ever need an attorney.
Unfortunately, insurance companies are highly motivated to pay as little as possible for injury cases. Insurance companies have a significant advantage in serious injury cases.
They know the rules, the law, and the industry games to deny and delay your recovery. Each day, week, month, and year that passes after your injury is time the insurance company uses to prepare to fight you and to collect interest on the money that rightfully belongs to you.
